A House Divided Against Itself, Cannot Stand – Abraham Lincoln
Our communities, neighborhoods and civic groups are needlessly at odds with one another. Last year the Office of Community and Civic Life, in an effort to be more inclusive of a growing and diverse Portland, attempted to change their charter to include civic groups. Unfortunately, the result has been only frustration from all parties. If given the opportunity, I would very much like to apply my experience and proven management skills to implement a solution that will involve listening to all parties, and working to UNITE Portland, not to divide.
The problems we face as a city require us to work together as one community. We will not find solutions if we are divided against one another.
For our Portland to work, we need inclusive leaders that can be trusted. I will bring a proven record of honesty, integrity and success to all I do.
